The most awaited soccer or football sports event only comes around every four years, the FIA World Cup. And it is the turn of Brazil to host the World Cup 2014, the second time this country has hosted the event, the first being in 1950. Brazil has won the coveted trophy five times, and are the only ever team, to of been in each one of the World Cup contests, since it began in 1930. Italy is the second in the league for World Cup titles with four cups won, Germany has three, Argentina two, England, Spain and France all with one win under their belts. With over 700 million viewers for the final match, the World Cup is by far the greatest sporting event in the world.
Brasilia is one of twelve host cities in Brazil which will play home to the thirty two competing teams. Brasilia is the capital city of Brazil, and the stadium here, called the Estadio Mane Garrincha, and has a capacity of 42.000 and was named after Garrincha, a football player deemed to be the second greatest player in Brazil ever, only after Pele. Tourism in Brasilia
Brasilia is one of the most modern cities of our time, with contemporary art taking shape in many building and structures within the city. Brasilia has the second largest man made lake in Brazil to supply water to the inhabitants, and is home to windsurfers and jet skiers. Visa Requirements
To gain entry into Brazil, you will need a visa and possibly an inoculation for yellow fever. There are different regulations for entry depending which country you are in, and which countries you have visited over the last few months. You will have to check with your local consulate or Embassy with your countries restrictions in regard to travelling to Brazil.

There are many poisonous and venomous snakes and spiders in Brazil, there are fatalities each year with tourists. Take care when travelling as spiders as big as your hand wander free around all parts of Brazil, snakes are on the ground and in the trees.
