When you hire out a rental car, you are instantly covered by insurance, it is all included in the price. But please note that you are not covered for being towed away by the police for illegal parking. You would have to pay that yourself, including the parking fine, towing charge, storage charge and administration, so be careful where you park. If you do have an accident in you hire car with another vehicle whilst driving, please ensure that you get as many details from the other driver as possible. See his driving license and take down all the details, get any witnesses to give accounts of what they saw and get their names and addresses. If possible get some photographs as well.
