Australia is the worlds top choice for travellers wishing to expand their horizons, seeking out new life experiences, enduring extreme weather conditions and mother nature in a bid to live the ultimate dream of exploring the land down under, the land of plenty, with beautiful cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and tourism for Alice Springs by Ayers Rock. Although many like to Backpack around Australia, the rest of us would like a bit more comfort for our travelling days, with our own beds every night, and would prefer to tour in a caravan or a motor home, which is like a home away from home, with as many modern comforts as possible. The humble caravan, and now the motor home, have comeback in popularity, as many thousands of families flock to Australia for the once in a lifetime opportunity, taking a year out of their usual lives, to see the many wonders Australia has to offer, or for simply a short vacation into a land where every day is like a surreal dream.

Caravan Hire

When you hire a caravan in Australia, one thing most of us can be assured of is the language barrier is not there, if you were to go to Europe, the language problems are evident as each country has different languages, which can and will cause problems with the law and the contracts that need to be signed. In Australia, hiring a caravan over the internet is child's play, you may be able to take a virtual tour of certain caravans which will enable you to choose the best one for your purposes, and most hire companies should offer you an airport collection service, where they will pick you up and take you to your rental caravan. All rental caravans come with cooker, oven, gas rings, shower, toilet, electric points, water storage, bed linen, pillows, pots and pans, cutlery, plates and all the usual cooking utensils and a fully charged battery. Hiring a caravan for a travelling vacation is a perfect solution for accommodation, no need to look for hotels or hostels, you can stop anywhere you wish to, if you come across a beautiful place and you wish to stay there, you can do easily, and if you get tired, you only have a few feet to go to your bed. The rental company will offer you maps and advice on all aspects of caravanning whilst in Australia, it is in your best interest to listen to them. The one difference that separates a rental caravan from a rental Motor Home, is that you can unhitch your car and go for a drive through a city, with a motor home, you have to take it all with you, even down to a beach or up a mountain.

Motor Home Hire

Australia Motor Home rentals are a way of life in Australia, with the choices to choose from are almost limitless. Most of the motor homes for rental are leased out to the hire companies, so you can be assured of maintenance free motoring whilst on your vacation, in a new model, with plush interiors and that new feeling, similar to when you hire a car. All motor homes come with every cooking utensil you will need, all the beds and bedding, bathroom utilities and a guide book for re-charging the batteries and other items such as filling the water storage and how to operate the heating. The gas bottles used on caravans and motor homes are universal and be be exchanged anywhere throughout Australia. With a motor home, you are never short of accommodation day or night, you simply park up and go to bed or make a cup of coffee. The main advantage a rental motor home has over a caravan is that you can park it on a road, as it has road tax, therefore allowing you not to have to pay for parking in a caravan park. Rent a Motor Home online, and you could save money rather than go to the rental place, and you can be assured that the type and style you want are available for you for when you want it.

Buying a caravan in Australia

If you buy a caravan in Australia, for the sole purpose of travelling around for a year, or for a certain period of time, you may be able to resell the caravan back to the same place where you got it from, once you have finished your tour. If you state this to the seller before you agree to buying the caravan, you will know exactly how much you will get back once you have finished with the caravan, and you will not have to leave the caravan in a depot with a for sale sign on it and fly home hoping that some one will buy it. If you go through a private seller, you may get a caravan cheaper, but then there is no warranty, so if something happens within the first few months, you will have to pay for the repair, but on finishing with the caravan, you could just sell it to the nearest dealer. And no matter what you decide, always insure that your insurance policy will cover the caravan at all times, some policies will have it in small print, that you are only covered whilst towing the caravan.
