Chocolate fountains for weddings and parties
65Amazingly tasty chocolate fountains will make a party, into a great party. A chocolate fountain is usually the centre piece for many weddings, functions and home parties, delighting squealing bridesmaids and keeping the children entertained longer than a clown would. Hire a chocolate fountain, and you will enthrall many people, with a choice of dark or milk chocolate, flowing from the centre and creating a golden waterfall of pure unadulterated taste, just like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Anything can be dipped into your chocolate fountain, but some of the favourites include summer fruits such as strawberries which taste divine, covered in mouth watering warm milk chocolate, and all summer fruits are a must as the taste is perfection. Try having kiwi, mango, pineapple and even coconut covered in chocolate for that tropical taste, bananas are excellent but need to be cut as you use them or they will begin to turn brown. You could have a ready dipped selection prepared and displayed around the chocolate fountain for guests who prefer their chocolate ready chilled.
Other ideal nib-lets for a chocolate fountain include marshmallows, which when combined with warm gushing chocolate is like a taste explosion for the mouth. Bread sticks, although not very elegant, add an extra to dip to your variety, as do biscuits, but are really not recommended as crumbs can fall into the chocolate. But no matter what nib-lets you have laid out for your function from sausages and even chicken nuggets, you will find that they have all been dipped in your chocolate fountain, it is chocolate after all, it is nearly every body's favorite. If you lay out a small bowl of hundreds and thousands or finely chopped nuts, these will also go down a treat as guests will sprinkle them over the chocolate.

How a Chocolate Fountain Works
A chocolate fountain is made of stainless steel, with its own small motor at the base to melt the prepared chocolate pieces. A corkscrew going through the centre of the apparatus drives the molten chocolate upwards an out through the top. The chocolate then flows down over several different tiers creating a chocolate fall as it cascades over each tier and into the base of the fountain, where it then repeats the procedure. To speed up the initial chocolate melting, you could pre-melt the chocolate in a microwave or in a saucepan.
Hiring a chocolate fountain is a perfect accessory for any party or function, some hire companies include the cost of an assistant to ensure all is working with the easy to use machinery, and he will keep the chocolate topped up. But it may actually be cheaper for you to buy your own chocolate fountain than it would be just to hire one for a day. That way, you will always have it and can use it for every function, you cold even surprise the kids on a birthday by setting it up on the kitchen table and cooking pancakes and let them loose with it. They may need a bath afterwards.
