I need help but do not understand the legal system in Spain
Not many English can fathom out the legal system in Spain. Each town hall has its own policies and regulations which, though in general are similar to other town halls, can also differ greatly. When purchasing a house, some people opt for the English solicitor from England to deal with the paperwork only because of the language barrier. I was recently accused of killing a cat by the owners of of a property next to mine, the case went to court 11 months later and I was found not guilty, the costs for my solicitor were 300.00 euros, I asked my solicitor if I could claim these costs from the person who accused me and was told I could not, is this correct? the other party defended themselves at no cost.
I am part owner of a property in Spain worth 100,000 euro;
1) How much would it cost me to sign a Transfer deed to sign this property over to my ex husband?
2) Can I do this in person in Spain or do I need to sign a Power of Attourny?

If you live in Spain and are English, then unnoficially, you are already guilty and liable. The Spanish legal system is a mess and foreigners are classed as intrusive. If you seek damages or costs, it could take years for the case to be heard and cost much more, and then the case may just be thrown out.
Once you enter the minefield of the Spanish judicial system, you are entering territory which even the Spartans would fear to tread.
