False eyelashes, or lash extensions have become the must have fashion accessory of the century. Long luscious false eye lashes have adorned thousands of movie stars in their bid to look more youthful and increase their sexual prowess. There are two main types of false eyelashes available on the mainstream UK and US markets. The first type is the individual eye lashes which come in small compact cases and need to be affixed individually for a more enhancing look. The second type are the full sets of both top and bottom eyelashes. These are sold in fours, two for each eye, and are easier to attach.

Eyelashes extensions, or the false lashes, is an individual set of 60 small bunches of synthetic hair like fibres. Each small bunch has approximately ten small hair fibres which are the eyelash extensions or the false eye lashes. Each bunch has to be attached to the base of the persons original eyelash, with specially made eyelash glue.

Although not as easy to affix as the full false eyelash sets, this type allows for individual style and a more natural look. There is no thick black line crossing from the corner of each eye, which is the usual visual sign that a person has fake eyelashes on. After wearing them for a few minutes the wearer can forget that they have them on, and just go and flutter their new man pullers at unsuspecting males.

The individual eyelashes come in different sizes from 8mm to 14mm as standard, with other sizes available on request. Using these for the first time may be slightly awkward, but once understood they can be fixed to both eyes in little time.

This type of false lashes may be the easiest to apply, but can easily be recognisable as being false. They sell well because of the simplicity, and the reusable slogan would apply quite easily if the old glue could be easily removed. Excellent for darker skin colours or for people whom wish to have very thick looking eyelashes.

Eyelash Glue is a specially manufactured glue just for lash extensions. The main two colours are clear and black. Clear glue is used for every occasion, whereas the black glue can be used to darken the eye area, or to emphasize the size of the eyelashes. The black glue can coagulate at the base of the lashes to add volume to the root of each lash. The choice is up to the individual wearer.
