Plastic aeroplane, cars, and motorbike kits and models

Plastic model airplane, motorbike and car kits have been a pastime for generations of budding collectors and children eager to create themselves a scale model of one of their all time favourite toys. Plastic aircraft models, plastic ship models and plastic car kits have become legendary in the sense of the creativity in a child's mind. Airfix plastic model kits have been produced since 1939, and from the very beginning using plastic injection moulding techniques, became a house hold name across the globe.

 Plastic Aeroplane Models

Airfix models of airplanes is the most extensive model collection in the world, the scale model 1/72 super-marine spitfire was the first plastic aircraft model Airfix produced. All kits contain the full instruction leaflet, with a small tube of glue, and transfers for individual markings of each airplane. Making a plastic model airplane is lots of fun for a child and helps concentration and patience. Plastic model car kits have become a very popular gift for young boys as more and more high profile and classic cars are pictured in magazines and on television. Although since the introduction of computer consoles and computer games, the market for plastic car kits has declined considerably, there has been a small rise in the plastic car kits as parents try and get their children's attention off the computer consoles, and into something more constructive.

For nearly every car on the road today, there has been a plastic scale model to match, from a classic British Mini and Formula One cars to Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. Some plastic car kits come with small motors and remote control units, building your own working model from scratch also give a young child a sense of achievement.
