Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery, Risks, Dangers and Side Effects, Botox, Liposuction
Plastic surgery has turned into horrendous disfigurements for many people discovering the dangers of plastic or cosmetic surgery. The cosmetic surgery industry has been awash for many years with clients suing their plastic surgeon because of permanent scarring, botched operations, and life altering disfigurement. Simple botox injections have had a disastrous effect on patients ensuring that they will never show their face in public again.
Cosmetic surgery was invented to assist burns and traffic accident victims. The idea was to re-construct facial features through skin grafts and using newly invented silicone. The cosmetic industry had different ideas.
Illegal Cosmetic Surgery
Cosmetic surgery was introduced solely to enhance the beauty that people already possessed. The lucrative market for beautifying individuals attracted many surgeons to change their professions from medical surgery to the highly profitable cosmetic industry.
Many illegal cosmetic surgeons have been struck off the medical register for malpractice, but they still operate through back street surgeries or even from their own homes.
Stolen, faulty, and even second hand silicone implants for breast enlargements pose a massive threat to anybody receiving these from an illicit surgeon. Many budding actresses have been diagnosed with silicone related diseases from faulty silicone implants, some have died.

The risks of cosmetic surgery
Cosmetic surgery is like any other medical procedure, there are certain risks involved. Risk assessment is part of the process of due diligence which should be carried out with each client by the prospective cosmetic surgeon. Unfortunately, risk assessment is not foolproof and depending on the surgeon, may not be undertaken according to requirements.
Botox
Some patients initially will feel sore for a few days around the injected area and can also suffer minor hemorrhaging. Nausea and recurring headaches with flu like symptoms may also be felt by the patient. Drooping of the eyelids or involuntary blinking may occur if the injection was for crows feet. If the injection was around the mouth, drooling may occur. These side effects can last for between 3 - 4 months. This is the muscle weakness which occurs when to much botox is injected.
Botox Creams
Some excellent alternatives to Botox exist with no side effects and no prolonged risks. These come in the forms of creams and lotions. Although the effects are not instant, they are more natural and allow the body to age gracefully without the risk of scarring and disfigurement.
Liposuction
Liposuction ( suction assisted fat removal ) is the removal of unwanted fat from virtually any area of the body. Also known as body contouring, Liposuction can remove lots of fat from the body overnight. This can result in a fitter and healthier looking person whose self confidence would receive a massive boost. But not everything always goes according to plan.
Liposuction takes fat and internal skin tissue, but leaves any excess external skin. This unsightly skin is then removed by another medical procedure. Lumps and bumps in the skin are a result of liposuction, and a further operation may be required for body contouring to sort out this problem. Swelling may persist for weeks or months after the initial operation, and although the scars are small and relatively well hidden, they are permanent.
Liposuction infections can cause vomiting and fevers with temperatures up to a dangerous 101 degrees. If ultrasonic assisted liposuction is undertaken, there is a distinct risk that the skin will be permanently burnt similar to Laser Hair Removal. This is caused by the technician over using the laser in a specific location.
Internal organ damage from the initial incision of the scalpel is rare, but it does happen. A further operation to repair the damaged organ is then needed. The intestines are the organs usually damaged and may also have been infected at the time of surgery.
Pulmonary Embolism is when small pieces of fat become dislodged and travel to the lungs. This can cause difficulty in breathing and may cause the person to need emergency treatment. This can and has caused death within 3 days of having liposuction. Fluid Imbalance is only caused during tumescent liposuction. This is when fluids are injected into the body at the same time fat is sucked out. This may cause an imbalance in the fluids and lead to kidney and heart dysfunction.
