Mount Eyak has a single chair lift as well as a rope tow. This ski area is run by the Sheridan Ski Club with local facilities being minimal but adequate for the area and enough to cope with the busy season. Hilltop Ski Area

This is an excellent skiresort for youngsters and families. Owned and operated by Youth Exploring Adventure Inc, this ski area is a non profit organisation designed to provide recreational programs for the youths of Anchorage throughout the year.

Bear Mountain Ski Area ( Southern California )

Bear Mountain Ski Area is twinned with Snow Summit Ski Area and both are accessible via a single chair lift system with the nearest city being Big Bear Lake, California. The ski resort does not offer any night skiing but offer 198 acres of skiing area with 24 runs. 50% of the runs are intermediate levels whilst 15% are dedicated to beginners with the rest for the professional skier or snowboarder.

The longest ski run is an impressive 2.4 km and has been called Geronimo. The snow is 100% man made but is an excellent adventure for all the family. This is an extreme ski resort for the serious snowboarder or skier, but their are easy runs for beginners. This ski resort offers 29 runs of which three are dedicated to professionals only and another 30% is very difficult. There is 240 acres of skiing space with the nearest city being Running Springs. There are no night skiing opportunities but 12 lifts and exceptional scenery, this is a lovely and surreal ski area for a fantastic skiing vacation.

Dodge Ridge Ski Resort

Pinecrest is the nearest city to this excellent ski area, although it is close to the San Francisco Bay area. There are 62 runs on this ski resort with the longest run being 3.2 km. A large proportion of the runs are dedicated to beginners and training is readily available. A new family lodge has been built with a plush restaurant and large parking facilities.
