Mesothelioma, asbestosis and asbestos poisoning are all terms used to describe any ill effects caused by inhaling the fibres of asbestos. It can take up to forty years from the initial point of inhalation to the symptoms of asbestosis becoming obvious. If you have been infected in the stomach, you may have swelling, bowel problems, weight loss, and a more than average build up of fluid in the stomach.

 No there is no cure yet, although scientists are working on one. Radiotherapy,  Chemotherapy and surgery are the only treatment to slow dowm the effects of mesothelioma.
