hair loss, male baldness, causes, treatments and solutions
69Male baldness and hair loss affects over 70% of males from the age of 18 years of age. With help, you can slow down the receding hairlines and possibly regain some ground in the fight against male baldness. We have the cures, the cover up methods, and the alternatives, it is up to you which way you want to go. Listed below are some treatments and the methods in carrying them out. I am 44 years old, and have been going bald for some years, it is hereditary, so from experience, I know what it is like, and what you may be going through.
Wigs and Toupee's
A wig can cover your whole, head whilst a toupee just covers the centre of the head and is used mainly for the people who have hair around the side of the head and not on top. Both of these devices can be attached with clips or sticky tape or both, some of the modern wigs look fantastic, but unfortunately 90% of people who look at you, will know that you are wearing a wig or toupee, an that is not what you want. Anyway, it is very difficult to keep it attached to your head when it is windy.
Hair Colour Spray Dye
This option is not recommended. This is for men who are thinning on top, and the idea is to spray a type of dye, similar colour to your hair, over your head, so from a distance, it looks like a full head of hair. BUT, close up, the dried dye can look like scales, giving the effect that you are in fact a lizard, and in the heat, it does not even need to be very hot, it does happen in an office, your dye begins to melt. Little globules of dye begin to run down your neck, past your ears and worst of all, down your face. Very embarrassing and not recommended at all as a male baldness solution.
Hair Transplant Surgery
This is just like replanting a tree or a bush. It is simply removing one hair follicle from another part of your body and transplanting it back onto the bald part of your head. It does sound painful, but you have an anesthetic. All the clinics here can help you. You will need to visit a clinic for them so assess your situation, and to see what part of the body they can take the hairs from, I suppose that depends on whether you want straight hair or curly hair. They will need to take healthy follicles only.
Laser Hair Therapy
This treatment only works for certain types of hair. It is a process where they will laser your slow working follicles, giving them a boost, therefore resulting in hopefully thicker hair with more vitality. Again with most types of surgery, and this is a type of surgery, it is not without its risks.
What can I do ?
Hair loss is usually hereditary, although there are other causes to male baldness like alopecia. There is no miracle cure on the market as of yet. There are only simple procedures which do not solve everyone's hair loss problems, I know. The first thing you should do if you really want treatment is to contact clinics on the internet, that way you do not need to leave your chair, do it now and click away. Make an appointment for an initial consultation with several clinics, that way you can see all the options out there and get an angle on the different prices clinics charge. Consultations are free, you can make the appointment online. Good luck if you really want it done.
